Q: |
What is Union
Plus Health Savings, and why should I promote the program
to my membership? |
 |
|
A: |
The Union
Plus Health Savings program was developed to assist union
members with their out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs
and other health-care services. |
 |
| |
 |
Members
save an average of over 18% or over $12 per prescription at over
43,000 participating pharmacies nationwide. There are no set
dollar amounts on the number of prescriptions you can purchase.
|
 |
| |
 |
When a
union member registers with his or her Union Plus Credit Card,
the member pays nothing to participate in the Union Plus Health
Savings Standard program. The Standard program covers savings on
prescriptions, vision, hearing and foot and ankle care. Add
savings on dental care and access to a 24-hour nurse helpline
for a low annual fee of $49.95. (Learn more about the card here.

uncles and grandparents - can take advantage of the substantial
savings. |
 |
| |
 |
You can
test the program with a complimentary 30-day trial enrollment
period. |

Q: |
My members
have very little or no vision or dental coverage. How can
this program help? |
 |
|
A: |
Union Plus
Health Savings is a good complement to many health insurance
benefits because the program can help substantially lower
out-of-pocket expenses for areas not covered by health
insurance. The program is of particular value to members who
have little or no insurance coverage for dental, vision, hearing
care, foot and ankle care or diabetic supplies. |
| |
|
|
|
Q: |
My members
have mentioned that they have extended family members who
have little or no health care benefits. How can this program
help them? |
 |
|
A: |
If your
members have extended family that cannot be included under their
health benefits package, the Union Plus program can help. The
program allows members to add any number of extended family
under their membership. These family members can then receive
substantial savings on prescriptions, vision care, dental care
and more. |

|
|
Q: |
How can union
members like me enroll? |
 |
|
A: |
Call
1-800-228-3523, Monday - Friday (ET) from 9 am to
6 pm.
You can also download an enrollment form online. |
| |
|
|
|
Q: |
Can I sign up
my local union for group enrollments? |
 |
|
A: |
Absolutely.
Group enrollment is a great way for your union to help its
members overcome high health-related costs. And enrolling as a
group will substantially lower the annual enrollment fee. Visit
www.unionplus.org/benefits/health/group.cfm for more
information. |
